Ingredients:
- 6 cupcakes of your favorite flavor
- 1 box of candy canes
- 4 ounces of cream cheese
- ¼ cup of butter
- 1 teaspoon of almond extract
- 2 cups of powdered sugar
- 2 to 3 drops of green food coloring
- ¼ cup of white chocolate chips
- ¼ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Sprinkles
Instructions:
1. Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. While it is preheating, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange your cupcakes in a Christmas tree shape. You can either use cupcakes that you make yourself or you can use store-bought cupcakes.
2. Bake the cupcakes for about 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Once the cupcakes are done baking, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool completely.
3. While the cupcakes are cooling, make the frosting. In a medium-sized bowl, add the cream cheese, butter, almond extract, and powdered sugar. Using a hand mixer, mix the ingredients until they are well combined. Then, add a couple of drops of green food coloring and mix until the frosting is the desired color.
4. Once the cupcakes are cooled, it's time to assemble the Christmas tree cupcake stand. Begin by frosting the cupcakes. Then, use the candy canes to create the branches of the tree. Place one candy cane in the center of the cupcakes and then two on either side. You can use any type of candy canes you like. For an extra festive touch, you can add some sprinkles or shredded coconut to the cupcakes.
5. To create the star of the tree, melt the white and semi-sweet chocolate chips separately in the microwave. Once melted, use a spoon to form a star shape on top of the cupcakes. Allow the star to cool and harden. Then, you can use some additional sprinkles to decorate the star.
6. Your Christmas tree cupcake stand is now ready to serve! Enjoy!
