Ingredients
For the cake:
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the three milks mixture:
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
For the topping:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Ground cinnamon, for sprinkling
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Slowly stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until all the flour is incorporated. Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
3. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes.
4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the condensed milk, evaporated milk and heavy cream. Once the cake is cooled, slowly pour the three milks mixture over the cake. Cover the cake and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
5. To make the topping, beat the heavy cream, sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Spread over the cooled cake and sprinkle with cinnamon. Serve cold.
